The per diem nurse practitioner at Providence Holy Cross Medical Center plays a crucial role in ensuring continuity of patient care within a Level II Trauma Center. This position involves close collaboration with various teams, including Case Management, Trauma Program Manager, Nurse Coordinator, Trauma Medical Director, Trauma Surgeons, and the direct patient care team, providing an opportunity to be part of a mission-driven group while maintaining a balanced schedule in Southern California.

Responsibilities

• Ensure continuity of patient care as part of the trauma team.
• Collaborate with the Case Management team and Trauma Program Manager.
• Work closely with the Nurse Coordinator and Trauma Medical Director.
• Assist Trauma Surgeons and specialty services in patient care.
• Participate in direct patient care activities.

Requirements

• Board certified AGACNP/ACNP required.
• Minimum 1 year experience in acute care nursing, preferably in ICU or ED.
• Experience with post-op procedures such as tube removal.

Nice-to-haves

• Flexibility in availability for per diem shifts.
• Ability to work some weekends.
