About the position
We are seeking a Nurse Practitioner to join our expanding staff at Freeman Orthopedic & Sports Medicine. This part-time position offers flexibility in scheduling, allowing the right candidate to make their own hours. The role involves working collaboratively with our clinical team to provide comprehensive care for patients suffering from chronic and acute pain in a fast-paced, energetic environment.
Responsibilities
- Perform physical examinations and screenings of patients
- Order and administer testing, pain procedures, urinalysis, and blood work
- Review and interpret test results
- Diagnose health problems and identify multi-modal approaches to treatment of conditions
- Prescribe appropriate medications, consistent with practice guidelines
- Order, review, and interpret diagnostic imaging as part of comprehensive evaluation
- Maintain and update patient records and submit timely notes regarding treatment
- Other duties as appropriate
Requirements
- Current state nurse practitioner's license in New Jersey
- Strong knowledge of HIPAA and OSHA
- DEA license for prescribing controlled substances
Nice-to-haves
- Previous experience working or rounding in SNIFF
