About the position

We are seeking a dedicated Nurse Practitioner to join our healthcare team in Houston, TX. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality patient care, focusing on discharge planning and various medical procedures, while working on a per diem basis with flexible scheduling options.

Responsibilities

• Conduct patient assessments and provide appropriate care
• Develop and implement comprehensive discharge plans
• Administer treatments and medications as prescribed
• Collaborate with physicians and healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes
• Maintain accurate medical records and documentation
• Educate patients and families on health management

Requirements

• Valid RN License
• Strong knowledge of medical terminology and procedures
• Experience in pediatric care and infant care is preferred
• Proficiency in sterile processing techniques
• Familiarity with Workers Compensation laws
• Ability to perform IV infusions and botulinum toxin treatments
• Prior experience with Epic electronic health records system is a plus
