About the position

The Nurse Practitioner position at Trinity Employment Specialists involves providing high-quality primary care to senior patients in a supportive and innovative healthcare environment. The role focuses on outpatient responsibilities, ensuring comprehensive care while working collaboratively with a dedicated team. Responsibilities

  • Maintain complete and detailed records of patients' health care plans and prognoses.
  • Analyze and interpret patients' histories, symptoms, physical findings, or diagnostic information to develop appropriate diagnoses.
  • Prescribe medications based on efficacy, safety, and cost as legally authorized.
  • Detect and respond to adverse drug reactions, with special attention to vulnerable populations such as infants, children, pregnant and lactating women, or older adults.
  • Order, perform, or interpret the results of diagnostic tests, such as complete blood counts (CBCs), electrocardiograms (EKGs), and radiographs (x-rays).
  • Recommend interventions to modify behavior associated with health risks.
  • Schedule follow-up visits to monitor patients or evaluate health or illness care.
  • Supervise or coordinate patient care or support staff activities.

Requirements

  • Currently licensed to practice professional nursing or Physician Assistant in the state of employment, active and non-probationary.
  • Experienced in primary care: internal medicine, geriatrics, or family medicine, minimum of 1 year active experience.
  • Current BLS/ACLS certification.
  • Strong understanding of examination methodologies and diagnostics.
  • Able to demonstrate interpersonal skills to be approachable and understandable to patients, families, and center team members.
  • Confident in their ability to deliver high quality primary care, which includes being available to patients and addressing their medical and social needs.
