About the position
We are seeking a Nurse Practitioner to join our expanding staff at an Interventional Orthopedic Pain Practice. This part-time position offers flexibility in scheduling, allowing candidates to choose their own hours while working in a collaborative environment to provide comprehensive care for patients experiencing chronic and acute pain. The role involves performing physical examinations, ordering tests, diagnosing health issues, and prescribing medications, all while maintaining a focus on patient care and support.
Responsibilities
- Perform physical examinations and screenings of patients
- Order and administer testing, pain procedures, urinalysis, and blood work
- Review and interpret test results
- Diagnose health problems and identify multi-modal approaches to treatment
- Prescribe appropriate medications, consistent with practice guidelines
- Order, review, and interpret diagnostic imaging as part of comprehensive evaluation
- Maintain and update patient records and submit timely notes regarding treatment
- Other duties as appropriate
Requirements
- Current state nurse practitioner's license in New Jersey
- DEA license for prescribing controlled substances
- Strong knowledge of HIPAA and OSHA
Nice-to-haves
- Previous experience working or rounding in SNIFF
