About the position

The Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) at Stonington Institute will play a crucial role in providing high-quality behavioral health services to clients dealing with substance abuse issues. Responsibilities

  • Interface with an inter-disciplinary team of clinicians, nurses, and mental health support staff.
  • Ensure client-centered, evidence-based, high-quality behavioral health services are provided.
  • Participate in the treatment planning and implementation for clients.
  • Monitor and evaluate client progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary.
  • Provide education and support to clients and their families regarding treatment options.

Requirements

  • Graduate degree in nursing with a current State of Connecticut License.
  • Minimum of one year experience working in the Mental Health or Substance Abuse field preferred.
  • Commitment to client-centered care and compassionate practice.
  • Strong communication skills to effectively interact with clients and team members.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in a behavioral health or substance abuse treatment setting.
  • Familiarity with medical detox and residential treatment programs.
