About The Position

The Nurse Resident position at AdventHealth is designed for new graduate nurses and experienced nurses entering a training program. This role involves providing and supervising comprehensive nursing care to patients, utilizing the nursing process to achieve departmental goals. The Nurse Resident will work under the direct supervision of a preceptor during the training program, transitioning to independent practice upon successful completion. The position emphasizes outstanding customer service and adherence to compliance regulations.

Requirements

• Must be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing (CCNE or ACEN preferred).
• Must have less than one (1) year of experience.
• Must be graduating in the next year or have graduated within the past three years.
• Current Florida RN license (may apply without license, but must have license prior to licensure deadline).
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
• Current BLS from the American Heart Association.
• Professional Resume.

Responsibilities

• Provide and supervise direct and indirect total nursing care responsibilities to identified age-specific groups.
• Utilize the nursing process (assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating) in achieving nursing department goals.
• Deliver coordinated nursing care for a patient or assigned group of patients within a patient care unit.
• Manage and supervise related clinical activities on a day-to-day basis.
• Participate in outstanding customer service and maintain respectful relationships with all individuals.
