About the position

The Nurse Resident position at INTEGRIS Health Baptist Medical Center is designed for new nursing graduates to provide basic patient care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse in the Trauma ICU. This role focuses on delivering exceptional care to patients while adhering to safety protocols and assisting with various patient care tasks. The position is an entry-level opportunity that allows for professional growth and development within a supportive healthcare environment.

Responsibilities

• Perform personal patient care tasks such as mouth care, making beds, giving baths, and perineal care.
• Assist with patient safety issues including identification arm band checks and adherence to fall protocols.
• Perform treatments including urinary catheter care, enema administration, and assisting with patient ambulation.
• Assist in patient admission and discharge processes.
• Conduct and document basic diagnostic testing such as obtaining vital signs and blood glucose monitoring.
• Perform selected sterile procedures including specimen collection and wound care.

Requirements

• Must be a new graduate or eligible to graduate from an accredited Nursing Program.
• Eligibility to take the NCLEX exam.
• Ability to perform basic patient care tasks under supervision.
