About the position

The Nurse Resident position at INTEGRIS Health is designed for new nursing graduates who are looking to gain hands-on experience in a supportive environment. This full-time role involves working with the Intermediate Care Stepdown team, providing essential patient care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse. The position emphasizes the importance of patient safety and adherence to healthcare protocols while allowing residents to develop their skills in a real-world setting.

Responsibilities

• Perform basic patient care tasks such as mouth care, making beds, giving baths, and perineal care.
• Assist with patient safety issues including identification arm band checks and adherence to fall protocols.
• Conduct and document basic diagnostic testing, including obtaining vital signs and blood glucose monitoring.
• Perform treatments such as urinary catheter care, enema administration, and wound care.
• Assist in patient admission and discharge processes.
• Retrieve and transport medications as needed.

Requirements

• Must be a new graduate or eligible to graduate from an accredited Nursing Program.
• Eligibility to take the NCLEX exam is required.
• Entry-level position with less than 1 year of experience.
