About the position

The Nurse Resident position at INTEGRIS Health Baptist Medical Center is designed for new nursing graduates to provide basic patient care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse in the Neuro Intermediate Care Unit (IMC) during night shifts. This role focuses on delivering exceptional care to patients while adhering to safety protocols and assisting with various patient care tasks. The position offers a supportive environment for recent graduates to develop their skills and gain experience in a clinical setting.

Responsibilities

• Perform personal patient care tasks such as mouth care, bathing, and grooming.
• Assist with patient safety issues, including identification protocols and fall prevention.
• Conduct basic diagnostic testing, including obtaining vital signs and blood glucose monitoring.
• Perform treatments such as urinary catheter care and wound care under supervision.
• Assist in patient admissions and discharges, preparing rooms and patients accordingly.
• Document patient care activities and report any incidents or injuries.

Requirements

• Must be a new graduate or eligible to graduate from an accredited Nursing Program.
• Eligibility to take the NCLEX exam is required.
• Entry-level position with less than 1 year of experience.
