About the position

The Nurse Resident position at INTEGRIS Health is designed for new nursing graduates to provide basic patient care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse within the Orthopedics team. This full-time role involves working day shifts from 7 AM to 7 PM, focusing on delivering exceptional care to patients while adhering to safety protocols and patient care standards. The position offers a supportive environment for new nurses to develop their skills and gain experience in a clinical setting.

Responsibilities

• Perform personal patient care tasks such as mouth care, making beds, giving baths, and perineal care.
• Assist with patient safety issues including identification arm band checks, fall protocol adherence, and patient positioning.
• Perform treatments such as urinary catheter care, enema administration, and assisting with patient ambulation.
• Assist in patient admission and discharge processes, including room preparation and patient admission.
• Conduct and document basic diagnostic testing, including vital signs monitoring and blood glucose checks.
• Perform selected sterile procedures such as specimen collection, wound care, and urinary catheterization.

Requirements

• Must be a new graduate or eligible to graduate from an accredited Nursing Program.
• Eligibility to take the NCLEX exam is required.
• Entry-level position with less than 1 year of experience.
