About the position

The Nurse Resident - PACU position at INTEGRIS Health Baptist Medical Center offers a unique opportunity for new nursing graduates to gain hands-on experience in a supportive environment. This role focuses on providing basic patient care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse, specifically in the Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU). The position emphasizes adherence to patient safety goals and requires participation in on-call status as needed. The Nurse Resident will work day shifts and may float to other units as required, contributing to the mission of partnering with people to live healthier lives.

Responsibilities

• Perform basic patient care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse.
• Assist with specialized tasks and procedures related to patient care.
• Adhere to National Patient Safety Goals based on patient contact level.
• Participate in on-call status as required.
• Float to other units as needed.

Requirements

• Must be a new graduate or eligible to graduate from an accredited Nursing Program.
• Eligibility to take the NCLEX exam is required.
• Must pass the NCLEX exam within 6 months or after 2 attempts.
