About the position

The Nurse Resident position at INTEGRIS Health Baptist Medical Center offers a unique opportunity for new nursing graduates to gain hands-on experience in a supportive environment. This role focuses on providing basic patient care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse, while adhering to safety and patient care standards. The position is designed for individuals who are new to the nursing field and are preparing to take the NCLEX exam, with a maximum duration of six months in this role.

Responsibilities

• Perform basic patient care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse.
• Assist with specialized tasks and procedures related to patient care.
• Adhere to National Patient Safety Goals based on patient contact level.
• Participate in on-call status as required.
• Float to other units as needed.

Requirements

• Must be a new graduate or eligible to graduate from an accredited Nursing Program.
• Eligibility to take the NCLEX exam is required.
• Must pass the NCLEX exam within 90 days after graduation or within two attempts.
