About the position
The Nurse (RN/LPN) position at Brookhaven Retirement Community is a full-time role focused on supervising nursing care for residents. The nurse will ensure quality care delivery according to physician's orders and manage nursing staff during their shift. This role requires adherence to state nursing regulations and effective communication with residents and staff.
Responsibilities
- Supervises nursing care to residents according to physician's orders.
- Directs staff and ensures the delivery of quality care on their shift.
- Administers medication and treatments as prescribed by physician.
- Accurately and timely completes documentation of care given.
- Refers to and follows resident's care plan.
- Observes and reports any abnormal findings, such as injuries, incidents, skin issues, complaints, suspected abuse/neglect/misappropriation, and any unsafe conditions as well as any significant change in condition.
- Oversees operation and follows appropriate Infection Control and Safety Practices.
- Communicates effectively with residents, staff, and visitors.
Requirements
- Active Ohio RN or LPN License with no restrictions required.
- Valid BLS Certification required.
- Experience in Nursing is preferred.
