About the position

The RN Supervisor at Betsy Ross Nursing & Rehab Center is responsible for overseeing the nursing department and ensuring the delivery of high-quality care to residents. This role involves organizing staffing, maintaining operational standards, and ensuring compliance with policies and procedures to achieve optimal resident health and well-being.

Responsibilities

• Organize, oversee, and supervise assigned unit activities and staff assignments.
• Identify and respond to patient needs in a timely and appropriate manner.
• Monitor, observe, and document vital signs, treatments administered, and patient responses.
• Administer medications and treatments as needed.
• Communicate with interdisciplinary team members, physicians, and other vendors and services regarding ongoing or planned care.
• Perform RN assessments of residents following incidents or changes in condition.
• Lead and direct emergency situations.
• Maintain accurate nursing reports, staffing sheets, and census rosters.

Requirements

• Current and good standing RN License in the State of New York.
• Experience with geriatric and short-term rehab patients is desirable.
• Progressive nursing experience and supervisory experience are preferred.
• Dedication to providing quality, compassionate care to each resident.
• Interest in helping ill, injured, disabled, and elderly residents.
• Patience and willingness to assist residents and coworkers.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, customer service, and organization skills.
• Able to work well under pressure and harmoniously with all staff.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with geriatric and short-term rehab patients is desirable.
