Responsibilities

• Provide daily hygiene assistance to patients.
• Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs).
• Collect and document patient data accurately and timely.
• Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
• Transcribe medical plans of care as directed by nursing staff.
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
• Assist with treatments and procedures as per hospital policies.
• Provide clerical support and document communications professionally.
• Facilitate staff development and assist in the orientation of new employees.
• Handle and transport medications and solutions safely.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Certified nursing assistant or at least one year of nursing assistant experience preferred.
• BLS certification within 90 days of hire.
• Ability to communicate in English verbally and legibly.
• Ability to stand/work for up to twelve hours a day.
• Ability to lift with assistance up to 250 lbs.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience in a medical-surgical unit.
• Familiarity with patient care delivery equipment and skills training.
