About the position
The position involves providing daily hygiene and assistance with activities of daily living (ADLs) for patients, as well as accurate data collection and communication with patients, families, and healthcare team members. The role is essential in maintaining a therapeutic environment and supporting the nursing staff in delivering high-quality patient care.
Responsibilities
- Provide daily hygiene and assist with activities of daily living (ADLs) for patients.
- Collect and document patient data accurately and in a timely manner.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
- Transcribe medical plans of care as directed by nursing staff.
- Assist with treatments, procedures, and the use of medical equipment as needed.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Facilitate staff development and assist in the orientation of new employees.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Certified nursing assistant or at least one year of nursing assistant experience preferred.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 90 days of hire.
- Experience in patient care delivery.
Nice-to-haves
- Experience with medical equipment such as pocket masks, bed scales, and electronic thermometers.
