About the position

The Nurse Unit Based Educator (CNE) at Penn Medicine is a clinical leadership role focused on enhancing the quality of patient care through education, consultation, and research. Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and evaluate standards of practice to improve patient care delivery.
• Facilitate the implementation of organizational initiatives integrating evidence and professional standards.
• Serve as a liaison to communicate and negotiate multiple perspectives within the organization.
• Address and resolve ethical issues in clinical practice.
• Promote understanding of clinical issues and reflective practice among staff.
• Maintain current professional knowledge and competence within specialty area.
• Support the autonomy and accountability of nursing roles.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing
• Valid RN License
• Critical Care Experience
• CPR/BLS Certification

• Experience with Open Heart Surgery and ECMO
