About the position

Landmark of River City is seeking dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurses (RNs) and Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs) to join our Weekend Option Program. This full-time position involves working 12-hour shifts every weekend, with the opportunity to pick up additional weekday shifts as needed. Our facility is committed to providing long-term skilled care to our residents, and we pride ourselves on creating an excellent work environment for our staff. We have recently updated our wage scales, and we offer advanced pay options to ensure our employees are compensated fairly and promptly. As a nurse in our Weekend Option Program, you will be responsible for a variety of essential duties that are crucial to the well-being of our residents. This includes making rounds to observe and evaluate the physical, emotional, and social needs of residents, preparing and administering medications, and charting as required. You will also administer treatments, consult with physicians, and maintain open communication with the director of nursing and other staff members. Your role is vital in ensuring that our residents receive the highest quality of care in accordance with federal and state regulations, as well as established company policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

  • Make rounds to observe and evaluate the physical, emotional, and social needs of residents.
  • Prepare and administer medications and chart as required.
  • Administer treatments as prescribed.
  • Consult with physicians regarding resident care.
  • Communicate effectively with the director of nursing and other staff members.

Requirements

  • Must be a Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) in good standing and currently licensed.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in nursing, preferably in a long-term care environment.
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision and possess strong organizational skills.
  • Demonstrates good judgment, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and mentoring skills.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in long-term care settings is preferred.
