About the position
The Nursery Laborer position involves performing various tasks related to the cultivation and maintenance of plants in a nursery setting. This role is essential for ensuring the health and quality of plants, as well as assisting in the logistics of plant distribution. The position is temporary, with a defined work period and requires physical stamina and the ability to work in varying weather conditions.
Responsibilities
- Clean, pack, water, fertilize, and spray plants.
- Move, load, and unload annuals, perennials, and vegetable plants.
- Lift and handle materials weighing up to 50lbs.
- Work on ladders and roofs of greenhouses as needed.
- Pull customer orders by hand and tag, harvest, load, transport, and unload nursery transport trucks.
- Work in extreme weather conditions and navigate narrow spaces.
Requirements
- No prior experience required; training will be provided.
- Ability to lift 50lbs and handle physical labor.
- Willingness to work in extreme weather conditions.
