About the position
The Nurse Aide in Training program at Regency Integrated Health offers individuals the opportunity to receive both online and hands-on training to become a Certified Nurse Aide (CNA). This role is designed for those who demonstrate strong customer service skills, reliability, and a commitment to teamwork. Successful participants will be eligible for Education Assistance to further their training at no cost, preparing them for a rewarding career in nursing assistance.
Responsibilities
- Provide residents with comfort and safety, detecting and reporting situations that may cause accidents or injuries.
- Carry out duties in accordance with resident care policies and procedures.
- Assist residents with daily activities such as bathing, feeding, dressing, and mobility.
- Utilize and log care provided into the Electronic Medical Records system.
- Measure and record vital signs of residents.
- Observe and report symptoms, reactions, and changes in residents' conditions to nursing staff.
- Maintain care of equipment and supplies used in resident care.
- Assist ambulatory residents or those in wheelchairs as required.
- Respond to call lights promptly, addressing resident needs or seeking assistance from nursing staff.
- Provide excellent customer service in sensitive situations.
- Perform other duties as assigned by Administrator or Nurse Management.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED is highly preferred.
- Experience as a caregiver is preferred.
- Good communication skills.
