About the position

The Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) position at ShiftMed offers a flexible work schedule, allowing CNAs to choose when, where, and how often they work. This role is designed for reliable, career-minded individuals who can provide compassionate care to vulnerable patient populations in various healthcare settings. ShiftMed connects CNAs with local healthcare facilities, enabling them to work on a per diem, short-term, long-term, or permanent basis, with the added benefit of daily pay after shifts.

Responsibilities

• Measuring patient vital signs accurately.
• Notifying the nursing supervisor when patients report pain.
• Assisting patients with ambulation and proper bed positioning.
• Identifying and communicating abnormal findings to the nursing supervisor.
• Providing timely documentation that's accurate and organized.
• Helping bathe and groom patients.
• Feeding patients and documenting intake.
• Other Duties as Assigned.

Requirements

• Certification from an accredited CNA training course.
• Active CNA license from the state in which you plan to work.
• Minimum 1 year acute care of CNA work experience.
• Push, pull, support, and lift a minimum of 80 pounds.
• Physical stamina to handle long hours of standing and walking.
• Annual physical.
• Negative TB test results.
• BLS in CPR.
• Basic Computer Skills.
• COVID-19 Vaccination.
