About the position

The Nursing Assistant in the DOU (Direct Observation Unit) at Lake Huron Medical Center plays a crucial role in providing basic nursing care and assisting patients with daily living activities. This position is vital for maintaining a safe and supportive environment for non-critical patients under the supervision of a Registered Nurse.

Responsibilities

• Assist with activities of daily living for non-critical patients.
• Provide basic nursing care under the direction of a Registered Nurse.
• Help maintain a safe environment for patients.
• Support the nursing team in delivering quality patient care.

Requirements

• Current Certified Nursing Assistant certificate upon hire (preferred).
• Current BLS certification within 30 days of hire and maintain current certification.
• Knowledge of Medical Terminology.
• Minimum six months' previous experience in an acute care hospital or physician's office (preferred).
