About the position

The Nursing Assistant position at Redwood Hospital involves providing essential care to patients in the Medical/Surgical Department. The role is designed to support the community by tailoring care to meet individual patient needs under the direction of a licensed Nurse. This part-time position requires working 12-hour daytime shifts, including every third weekend and holiday rotation.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients with daily living activities and personal care needs.
• Support licensed Nurses in providing patient care as directed.
• Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
• Maintain a clean and safe environment for patients.
• Document patient care activities and observations accurately.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Certified Nursing Assistant, registered with the Minnesota Nursing Assistant Registry at time of hire.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification preferred.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience in a healthcare setting is preferred.
