Provides direct, basic patient care activities under the guidance and direction of a Registered Nurse ("RN"), cleans specific equipment, transports patients, and handles inventory control. The position involves performing direct and indirect patient care activities following RN instructions, physician orders, policies, procedures and regulations. Responsibilities include facilitating the flow of patients, assisting with prepping patients for surgery, maintaining a constant flow of patients, and demonstrating understanding of emergency procedures. The role also requires maintaining supplies, communicating repair orders, and practicing proper hand washing and infection control principles. Additional duties include assisting pre-op patients, collecting vital signs, and providing assistance to patients for discharge.
