About the position
As a Nursing Assistant (NA) at Regency Hospital - Toledo, you will play a crucial role in providing care to patients who are critically ill or recovering from serious health conditions. This position is full-time, working night shifts from 6:30 PM to 6:30 AM, and offers a sign-on bonus of $5,000. You will be responsible for delivering high-quality patient care in a supportive and team-oriented environment. Your duties will include assisting patients with daily living activities, ensuring their comfort and safety, and maintaining a clean and orderly environment in patient rooms. You will also be involved in transporting patients to various treatment centers and participating in hourly rounds to monitor patient needs. Responsibilities
- Performing services for the patient involving bathing using basin-less bath products, oral hygiene, oral feeding and care of hair.
- Answering patient lights and performing services in a timely manner that adds to the physical well-being of the patient.
- Participating in hourly rounds.
- Transporting patients to and from various treatment centers when necessary; assisting transporters in moving patients in and out of stretchers and wheelchairs.
- Maintaining the cleanliness of various instruments and equipment such as bedpans, urinals and wheelchairs.
- Keeping the patient's rooms in clean and orderly condition, including making beds.
- Maintaining unit stock levels of supplies and equipment as directed.
Requirements
- High school diploma/equivalent OR relevant work experience (3+ years).
- BLS is required within 90 days of hire.
- Requires hospital experience as a nursing assistant, certification as a nursing assistant, or experience in a related field such as a medical assistant or as an actively enrolled nursing student.
Nice-to-haves
- Experience in a healthcare setting as a nursing assistant or related field.
- Certification as a nursing assistant.
