The position of Medication Technician is a vital role within our healthcare team, primarily focused on the preparation and administration of medications to residents. As a Medication Technician, you will be responsible for ensuring that all medication needs of the residents are met in accordance with their prescribed orders. This includes obtaining vital signs, weights, pulse oximetry readings, and blood sugar levels as part of the medication administration process. The role requires a keen attention to detail and a compassionate approach to patient care, as you will be directly involved in the health and well-being of our residents. Training for this position is provided onsite, allowing you to gain hands-on experience while also completing necessary online courses. This training will equip you with the skills and knowledge required to perform your duties effectively. Observation testing will also be part of the training process to ensure competency in medication administration and resident care. The position is full-time, with a schedule of 7 am to 3 pm, and requires working every other weekend and holiday, totaling 80 hours bi-weekly.
