About the position

The Nursing Assistant at Alaris Health at The Chateau is responsible for providing essential care and support to residents in a skilled nursing facility. This role focuses on ensuring the comfort and personal needs of residents are met while maintaining a clean and orderly environment. The position requires collaboration with nursing supervisors and other departments to deliver high-quality service in a compassionate atmosphere.

Responsibilities

• Perform various resident care activities and related non-professional services essential to residents' personal needs and comfort.
• Complete unit rounds and ensure that all resident rooms are clean and orderly.
• Assist the nursing supervisor with input in the appraisal process and selecting candidates for interviews and tours.
• Make both occupied and unoccupied beds and coordinate with all departments for timely sanitation of rooms upon discharge.
• Coordinate internal and external appointments and activities for residents.
• Ensure that proper adaptive devices are in place for residents.
• Provide the highest quality of service to residents and families in a caring and compassionate atmosphere.

Requirements

• Minimum of a high school education or high school equivalency diploma is preferred.
• Must have full command of the English language (written, oral, and verbal).
• Knowledge of procedures and techniques involved in administering simple treatments and providing related bedside resident care services.
• Understanding of standard techniques used in providing personal services for residents and in caring for equipment and supplies.
• Ability to work rotating shifts and in different units as needed.
• Ability to positively interact with residents, government agencies, and the general public.
