The Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) position at Raisso Inc in Middletown, RI, is a full-time, contract role focused on providing essential care and support to patients in a long-term care facility. This position is designed for compassionate individuals who are ready to make a positive impact in the healthcare field during a 7-week adventure, with the possibility of extension. The role requires working the night shift, ensuring patient safety and comfort while assisting with daily living activities.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients with daily living activities, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and feeding.
• Monitor patient vital signs and report any changes to the nursing team.
• Provide mobility assistance, helping patients move around safely.
• Assist in the positioning of patients to prevent pressure sores and ensure comfort.
• Aid in maintaining a clean and safe environment for patients.
• Document patient care and observations accurately in the electronic health record system.
• Report any significant changes in patient conditions to the supervising nurse or healthcare team.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to deliver comprehensive patient care.
• Follow infection control protocols and safety procedures at all times.
• Provide emotional support to patients and their families when necessary.

Requirements

• Valid CNA certification in the state of Rhode Island.
• Previous experience as a CNA, preferably in a healthcare or long-term care setting.
• Current CPR/BLS certification.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Compassionate, patient-focused care approach.
• Ability to work the specified night shift: 11:00 PM to 7:00 AM.
• Ability to perform physical tasks, such as lifting and transferring patients, as needed.
