The Nursing Care Assistant position at Duke Regional Hospital is an opportunity to embrace our mission of Advancing Health Together. You will work in a 34-bed unit that cares for patients with various diagnoses, including those requiring cardiac telemetry. This unit also serves as a specialty area for patients with respiratory illnesses needing higher oxygen demands but not qualifying for ICU care. Our patient-centered team is committed to promoting excellence in patient care through best practices, innovation, and research, ensuring that we provide compassionate support to our patients during their stay. This role is ideal for those looking to build a solid nursing foundation, with on-the-job training provided. The work schedule for this position is a night shift from 7 PM to 7 AM, with rotating weekends. As a Nursing Care Assistant, you will perform a variety of nonprofessional nursing duties under the direct supervision of an RN or LPN, as well as clerical tasks related to patient care and hospital data management. Your responsibilities will include administering personal care procedures, assisting with patient mobility, maintaining patient records, and ensuring a clean and stocked environment for patient care. You will also be involved in the transport of patients and will need to exhibit professional communication skills when interacting with patients, visitors, and staff.
