About the position
The Nursing Director (Oncology) at Care Crafter Health is a leadership role responsible for overseeing all nursing operations within the Oncology department. This position ensures high-quality patient care, efficient staffing, and compliance with regulatory standards while developing and implementing clinical policies to optimize patient outcomes.
Responsibilities
- Direct and supervise nursing staff within the Oncology department
- Develop and implement nursing care plans in collaboration with the healthcare team
- Monitor patient progress and outcomes, adjusting care plans as needed
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory standards and protocols
- Manage staffing levels to maintain optimal patient care
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare providers
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care
- Mentor and train nursing staff to promote professional development
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care
- Serve as a resource for staff regarding oncology nursing practices
Requirements
- Valid RN license in the state of employment
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing; Master's degree preferred
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in Oncology nursing
- Previous leadership experience in a healthcare setting
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with interdisciplinary teams
- Knowledge of current Oncology nursing practices and standards
- BLS and ACLS certification required
