About the position

The Nursing Informaticist role focuses on the implementation, integration, support, and maintenance of clinical applications within a healthcare setting. This position requires collaboration with IT technical and development teams, leading clinical system installations, and providing training and documentation support. The role emphasizes enhancing system performance and optimizing departmental processes while adhering to service level agreements.

Responsibilities

• Implement, integrate, support, and maintain clinical applications.
• Lead and manage clinical system installations, upgrades, enhancements, and interfaces.
• Provide systems training and assist in compiling training documentation.
• Develop and maintain detailed work plans indicating target dates and resource requirements.
• Provide backup coverage and support for other systems as a member of the applications team.
• Assist with ongoing support for installed systems and troubleshoot interfaces.
• Enhance system performance and optimize department processes.
• Lead small projects as needed.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university in a relevant discipline.
• Master's degree or Ph.D. preferred.
• Valid RN License.
• 2 years of clinical nursing experience providing care directly to patients.
• Strong analytical and interpersonal skills with a focus on customer service.
• Problem-solving and troubleshooting skills with attention to detail.
• Operations experience with various healthcare departments.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Nice-to-haves

• PMP certification.
• HL7, MCP, or other relevant Healthcare IT certifications.
• Knowledge of Project Management and ITIL standards.
• System integration/interface experience.
• LTAC Industry knowledge.
• Previous Project Management, Project Implementation, or IT Systems Analysis experience.
