About the position

As a Nursing Informatics Manager at AdventHealth, you will play a pivotal role in transforming clinical care through the integration of technology and nursing practices. This position serves as a key point of contact for people, processes, and technology, ensuring that the benefits of information systems are maximized across the organization. You will coordinate nursing informatics activities for assigned facilities, working collaboratively with various professionals on enterprise-wide clinical informatics projects. Your expertise in computer science, information technology, and clinical decision support will be essential in enhancing clinical systems that support excellence in patient care and clinical transformation. In this leadership role, you will manage a team of informaticists, setting performance objectives and providing regular feedback to team members. You will be responsible for negotiating resolutions to conflicting requirements across departments and ensuring that service level agreements are met. Your strong customer service and communication skills will be vital as you support operational leadership, nurses, and other hospital staff, fostering relationships that are respectful and collaborative. You will also be involved in guiding incident resolution, problem management, and enhancement requests, motivating your team to deliver a consistently excellent service experience. Responsibilities

  • Coordinate nursing informatics activities for assigned facilities.
  • Lead a team of informaticists in the assigned region.
  • Collaborate on enterprise-wide clinical informatics projects.
  • Enhance clinical systems to support patient care excellence and clinical transformation.
  • Set and measure performance objectives for the team.
  • Provide regular feedback to team members on performance.
  • Negotiate resolutions to conflicting requirements across departments.
  • Manage delivery and service level agreements, guiding incident resolution and problem management.
  • Motivate the team to deliver excellent service experiences.
  • Actively participate in outstanding customer service initiatives.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required upon hire or within 36 months of hire.
  • Minimum of five years of nursing clinical background required.
  • Minimum of three years' experience in clinical informatics, healthcare informatics, or nursing informatics required.
  • Current valid license as a registered professional nurse in the state of primary work locale or obtain within 3 months of hire.
  • Current valid driver's license in the state of primary work locale or obtain within 3 months of hire.
  • Completion of one professional certification relevant to the field (e.g., ANCC Informatics, CAHIMS, CPHIMS) within three years and maintenance of certification thereafter.
