About the position
The Nursing Midwife position involves providing comprehensive care to women across their lifespan in both inpatient and outpatient OB/GYN settings. The Certified Nurse Midwife (CNM) will deliver full-scope midwifery care, which includes well woman exams, family planning services, low-risk obstetrical care, labor and delivery management, and postpartum care for mothers and their babies. This role requires collaboration with an interdisciplinary team at the University of Tennessee, including nurses, physicians, and resident colleagues.
Responsibilities
- Provide full-scope midwifery care to women throughout their lifespan.
- Conduct well woman exams and family planning services.
- Manage low-risk obstetrical care and labor and delivery.
- Provide postpartum care for mothers and newborns.
- Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team including nurses, physicians, and residents.
Requirements
- Registered Nurse in the state of Tennessee.
- Nurse Midwife certification through AMCB.
