About the position

The Nursing Recruitment and Retention Coordinator at the University of Southern Indiana plays a vital role in supporting the Kinney College of Nursing and Health Professions by managing recruitment and retention initiatives for nursing programs. This position involves collaborating with various stakeholders to enhance marketing strategies, provide academic advising, and ensure compliance with institutional policies. The coordinator will also facilitate student support services and represent the nursing programs at various events.

Responsibilities

  • Direct a comprehensive academic and career advising program for undergraduate BSN students.
  • Collaborate with marketing teams to develop and oversee marketing materials for the Nursing Program.
  • Assist in the development of marketing and advertising strategies for nursing recruitment.
  • Participate in community college visitations and college fairs to promote nursing programs.
  • Oversee nursing program recruiting and collaborate with healthcare partners on recruitment initiatives.
  • Facilitate live student interviews and monitor support initiatives for nursing students.
  • Serve as a communication liaison between nursing programs and students, providing relevant information and support.
  • Represent nursing programs at local, state, and professional organizations.
  • Participate in various committees related to nursing admissions and mentoring.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Ability to make independent decisions and work with diverse populations.
  • Proficiency in data collection, analysis, and interpretation.
  • Knowledge of microcomputers, word processing, spreadsheets, and presentation software.
  • Valid driver's license.

Nice-to-haves

  • Master's degree.
  • Experience with student information systems (e.g., SIS or BANNER).
  • Academic advising and admissions experience.
