About the position
The Nursing Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the delivery of optimal nursing care within the hospital, ensuring adherence to quality improvement standards. This role involves representing hospital administration in their absence, maintaining professional relationships, and supporting the professional development of clinical staff. The Nursing Supervisor has the authority to make significant personnel decisions and is accountable for the performance of their supervisory duties.
Responsibilities
- Oversee the delivery of optimal nursing care.
- Represent hospital administration in their absence.
- Maintain effective professional relationships with all constituencies.
- Actively involve in the professional development of clinical staff.
- Support hospital policies and procedures.
- Utilize available clinical staff appropriately to provide optimal patient care.
- Interact with customers for prompt problem resolution.
- Conduct employee performance evaluations based on direct observation.
- Assume all other duties and responsibilities as necessary.
- Assist as a super user for completion of incident reports.
Requirements
- Current licensure in the State of Ohio as a Registered Nurse.
- Minimum of 3 years clinical experience.
- Current BLS and ACLS certification required.
- PALS certification required within 1 year of hire.
- Maintain compliance in RQI.
