About the position
The Nursing Supervisor at Central Maine Healthcare is responsible for ensuring quality patient care through effective management of Patient Care Services during assigned shifts. This role includes making administrative decisions in the absence of the Administrator, utilizing knowledge of institutional standards, policies, and procedures. The Nursing Supervisor plays a critical role in promoting exceptional care and experiences for both patients and staff.
Responsibilities
- Promote and maintain quality patient care during assigned shifts.
- Manage activities of the Patient Care Services effectively.
- Make administrative decisions in the absence of the Administrator.
- Utilize knowledge of standards, policies, and procedures for decision-making.
- Enhance communication and promote conflict resolution among staff.
- Facilitate staff development and training.
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing with current licensure as a registered professional nurse in Maine.
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing or equivalent.
- Experience as a staff nurse and clinical nursing supervisor.
- Demonstrated leadership abilities in a clinical setting.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to sustain and evaluate competence in patient care across various clinical settings.
- Excellent customer service skills.
