About the position
The Nursing Support Tech (NST) position is a full-time role focused on providing patient care and supporting respiratory and unit functions under the supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN). The NST is responsible for ensuring compliance with hospital policies and procedures while delivering essential care to patients during the night shift.
Responsibilities
- Perform patient care tasks as directed by the RN.
- Assist with respiratory functions as needed.
- Support unit functions in compliance with hospital protocols.
- Ensure patient comfort and safety during care activities.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Completion of a Nursing Assistant, Medical Assistant, or Patient Care Technician (PCT) program.
- Relevant job experience or training may be considered.
