Responsibilities

  • Provide full clinical support and customer service to patients, visitors, and staff.
  • Direct the flow of the unit in collaboration with lead positions.
  • Participate in unit projects and house-wide activities.

  • Maintain accountability and accuracy in all tasks performed.

Requirements

  • Three years of secretarial experience, with at least one year at Maine Medical Center.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Knowledge of policies, procedures, and organizational structure of the unit and Department of Nursing.
  • Strong accountability, accuracy, time management, and independent thinking skills.
  • Discretion and judgment in handling sensitive information and situations.
  • Basic working knowledge of standard office equipment and multiple computer systems.
  • Ability to perform in a high-stress, high-volume environment with multiple stimuli.
  • Completion of customer service classes.
