About the position

Adventure Nannies is seeking a nurturing nanny/family assistant for a fun-loving family based in Manhattan. This full-time position involves caring for two school-aged children, providing support in their daily routines, and assisting with household tasks. The role is an 8-month contract with the possibility of extension, especially for candidates willing to relocate with the family to Los Angeles in 2025.

Responsibilities

• Provide on-call support for the family and children during working days.
• Create a safe and warm environment for the children to learn and grow.
• Assist with homework and before-and-after-school routines.
• Manage child-related housekeeping tasks.
• Oversee children's calendar management and light organization projects.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure the children and household are well cared for.
• Support the family during travel as needed.

Requirements

• 3 years of professional childcare experience.
• Knowledge of age-appropriate developmental milestones for elementary-aged children.
• Travel experience and willingness to travel with the family.
• Ability to swim and comfortability caring for children in and near water.
• Valid driver's license and passport.
• Fully vaccinated and boosted against COVID-19 prior to start date.

Nice-to-haves

• Formal background in education.
• Experience supporting children with ADD/ADHD.
