About the position

The Nutraceutical Production Associate at Pure Essence Labs is responsible for various production tasks within a dietary supplement manufacturing environment. This role ensures compliance with 21 CFR Part 111 regulations and involves operating equipment for packaging, powder blending, weighing, dispensing, and tablet press operations. The associate will work closely with quality assurance teams to maintain product quality and safety standards.

Responsibilities

  • Operate bottling, sealing, and labeling equipment.
  • Ensure in-house supplies are prepared for packaging.
  • Complete packaging documentation.
  • Perform powder blending following Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
  • Prepare and clean blending equipment before use.
  • Verify all raw materials and ingredients per Batch Production Record (BPR) instructions.
  • Monitor and adjust the blending process for uniformity and consistency.
  • Conduct in-process checks and sampling to ensure blend quality.
  • Document all blending activities, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Collaborate with Quality Assurance and Quality Control teams for blend inspections and audits.
  • Perform weighing and dispensing of raw materials following SOPs and regulatory guidelines.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization in weighing/dispensing areas.
  • Participate in routine inspections and audits, providing necessary documentation.
  • Perform tablet/encapsulation operations, ensuring cleanliness and readiness of equipment.
  • Monitor the tablet/encapsulation process, adjusting parameters for dosage consistency.
  • Document tablet/encapsulation activities in compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Follow safety protocols to maintain a safe work environment.
  • Assist in other production responsibilities as needed.

Requirements

  • 1+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably in dietary supplements.
  • General understanding of food/dietary supplement cGMP requirements.
  • Proficiency in reading and writing English.
  • Ability to operate packaging, blending, weighing, and tableting equipment.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to interpret SOPs and batch production records.
  • Self-directed with strong organizational and prioritization skills.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work in a team environment.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience or certification in Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP) and/or HACCP applications.
