About the position

The Nutrition and Dining Services Technician II is responsible for a variety of food production and serving duties, including meal delivery to patients, assisting with diet selections, and performing retail and sales tasks. This role involves interacting with patients to ensure their dietary needs are met while maintaining high standards of service and cleanliness in dining operations.

Responsibilities

  • Perform food production and serving duties for patients and care areas.
  • Assist patients with meal selections according to dietary prescriptions and preferences.
  • Coordinate menu selections using NDS software.
  • Set up and supply service lines and vending operations with food and supplies.
  • Operate cash register accurately and perform cash reconciliation.
  • Facilitate and clean up catered functions and events.
  • Wash and clean dishes, pans, and utensils as directed.
  • Deliver trays and supplies to patients as scheduled.
  • Ensure cleanliness and organization of assigned work areas and equipment.
  • Orient and train new staff members in their responsibilities.

Requirements

  • Food Handler's permit required.
  • Must be 16 years of age or older.
