Responsibilities

  • Recognizes the need for using correct sanitation techniques as they relate to infection control.
  • Sanitizes work areas and carts before and after use with approved disinfectant.
  • Wipes up spills and leaves work area neat.
  • Uses correct sanitation techniques when preparing food, such as using gloves and avoiding touching face or hair.
  • Completes all assigned cleaning tasks thoroughly and as scheduled, including keeping clean and organized.
  • Signs off on daily checklist after completing assigned tasks.
  • Reports to work well-groomed with a clean neat uniform and proper hair covering.
  • Washes hands frequently during the day.
  • Works with team members to serve customers and patients in a timely manner.
  • Assembles supplies and equipment needed to do assigned job.
  • Is knowledgeable regarding Hospital and department policies, procedures, and general information.

Requirements

  • Previous experience in hospital nutrition department or food service preferred.
  • Flexible in schedule to meet the demands of the department.
