About the position

The Nutrition Services Clerk plays a vital role in providing clerical support related to nutritional care and food service for patients. This position ensures that patients receive their meals as ordered by their healthcare providers, and is responsible for assembling food trays accurately and efficiently. The clerk may also assist in kitchen operations as needed.

Responsibilities

• Ensure patients receive food as ordered by their Physician and/or Dietitian.
• Assemble patient food trays correctly and expeditiously.
• Assist in kitchen operations as necessary.

Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum one year experience as a Diet Clerk/Nutrition Services Clerk in an acute care facility preferred.
• Food Handlers course as required by state or county.
• Effective communication skills in both writing and verbally.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience in a healthcare setting.
