About the position

The Nutrition Services Clerk is responsible for essential clerical duties related to nutritional care and food service for patients. This role ensures that patients receive their meals as ordered by their physician or dietitian, and that meal services are executed properly and efficiently. The clerk will also assist in the kitchen as needed.

Responsibilities

• Ensure patients receive food as ordered by their Physician and/or Dietitian.
• Assemble patient food trays correctly and expeditiously.
• Assist in kitchen duties as necessary.

Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum one year experience as a Diet Clerk/Nutrition Services Clerk in an acute care facility preferred.
• Food Handlers course as required by state or county.
• Effective communication skills in both writing and verbally.
