About the position

The Nutritionist position at Wellness Lab is a part-time role focused on providing personalized nutrition coaching to clients. The ideal candidate will work with a diverse client base, creating individualized nutrition strategies and educating clients on sustainable lifestyle changes to improve their health and wellness. This role emphasizes evidence-based practices and collaboration with team members to ensure high-quality care.

Responsibilities

• Conduct initial assessments and follow-up sessions with clients, utilizing evidence-based nutrition approaches.
• Develop customized nutrition plans tailored to client goals, preferences, and lifestyle.
• Educate clients on nutrition fundamentals, dietary habits, and behavioral change strategies.
• Track and document client progress while maintaining detailed and accurate records.
• Collaborate with other team members for problem solving and to offer the highest level of care for clients.
• Stay current with nutrition science and interventions to continually enhance service quality.

Requirements

• Current Registered Dietitian (RD), Certified Nutrition Specialist (CNS), or certified Functional Nutritionist.
• Minimum of 3 years experience in one-on-one nutrition counseling or relevant field.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to connect empathetically with clients.
• Passion for promoting evidence-based nutrition practices and behavioral change.

Nice-to-haves

• Demonstrate knowledge of functional and holistic nutrition.
• Ability to create content for social media or educational materials.
• Bonus Experience: Interpreting lab results (GI Map, Dutch Test, Thyroid Panel, etc).
• Certified Personal Trainer.
• Knowledge of health software (Practice Better, Zoom, Rupa Health, Fullscript, That Clean Life).
