The Production Manager at Krispy Kreme plays a crucial role in supporting the General Manager and ensuring that the production operations run smoothly and efficiently. The overarching goal is to achieve the financial objectives set for the assigned location while maintaining the high-quality standards that Krispy Kreme is known for. In terms of production, the Production Manager must understand and implement procedures that maximize efficiencies and control variances in daily production. This includes coordinating production schedules to meet customer demands while minimizing labor hours. The role also involves inspecting and troubleshooting any production or equipment problems to ensure that all products meet Krispy Kreme's quality standards. Sales responsibilities include collaborating with the General Manager to achieve business plan objectives and profitability as outlined in the commissary operating plan. The Production Manager must also demonstrate a strong commitment to safety and sanitation, maintaining a clean and safe working environment for all employees. Personnel management is another key aspect of this role. The Production Manager assists the General Manager in recruiting, hiring, training, and resolving disputes among staff. They supervise all shift personnel and work to build a team of customer-focused employees, fostering teamwork and effective communication. Additionally, the Production Manager is involved in financial management, assisting the General Manager with income and expense budgets, profit and loss statements, and corporate reporting documentation. Overall, the Production Manager is expected to communicate and model company standards and policies, implement directives from management, and maintain an organized commissary to promote efficient operations. This position requires a proactive approach to leadership and a commitment to the values and goals of Krispy Kreme.

Responsibilities

• Understand and implement procedures to maximize efficiencies and control variances in daily production of product and overall commissary performance.
• Understand and implement commissary quality control procedures, including standards.
• Coordinate production schedules to meet customer demands and minimize labor hours.
• Inspect, troubleshoot, and assess any production or equipment problems.
• Ensure all products meet Krispy Kreme quality standards.
• Work with the General Manager to achieve business plan objectives and profitability as set forth in the commissary operating plan.
• Demonstrate safety consciousness and promote commissary safety, e.g. shoes, floor cones, etc.
• Maintain a high level of commissary sanitation and cleanliness, e.g. cleaning schedules, training, etc.
• Oversee proper upkeep of commissary facility and equipment.
• Assist the General Manager in recruiting, hiring, training, and dispute resolution.
• Supervise all shift personnel and build a team of customer-focused employees.
• Demonstrate leadership in employee development, including that of Supervisor.
• Assist in communicating to commissary employees and enforcing all commissary policies, standards, and practices.
• Assist General Manager in completing and managing income and expense budgets, profit and loss, etc.
• Assist General Manager in completing required corporate reporting documentation, both financial and operational.
• Manage company resources responsibly including inventory control and financial duties.
• Protect company assets and communicate and model company standards and policies.
• Implement efficiently and effectively directives from commissary, corporate, and divisional management.
• Develop and maintain commissary organization to promote efficient operations and interface with corporate office personnel.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Experience with sales, management, production, and customer service.
• Strong communication, organizational, and leadership skills.
• Pleasant disposition, sociable, accommodating nature, and enthusiasm.
• Self-motivation, creativity, and adaptability.
• Basic computer, telephone, and fax knowledge.
• Must be available for full time (40+ hours/wk).
• Completion of Krispy Kreme sponsored training programs is preferred.
• Post Secondary Education strongly preferred.
