Voyatek, formerly GCOM Software and OnCore Consulting, is seeking an Expert Software Developer to join our NYS Information Technology Services Team located in Albany, NY. This position is integral to our mission of delivering outcome-driven technology solutions to public sector agencies and higher education institutions across the nation. As an Expert Software Developer, you will play a crucial role in enhancing our technology offerings that facilitate access to essential services, support first responders, and improve efficiency for state tax agencies, among other initiatives. In this role, you will participate in design review sessions to gain a comprehensive understanding of the program area, existing data sets, and applications. You will be responsible for modifying and supporting applications as needed until they can be transitioned to a modern web-based version. Your day-to-day tasks will include designing, coding, and testing new features based on requirements, as well as documenting code-based business rules. Your expertise will guide large teams and contribute to the successful delivery of complex projects that have a significant impact on community wellbeing and public safety.
