About the position

Voyatek, formerly GCOM Software and OnCore Consulting, is seeking an Expert Software Developer to join our NYS Insurance Fund Team located in Albany, NY. This position is integral to delivering outcome-driven technology solutions to public sector agencies and higher education institutions nationwide. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning, streamlining, creating, modifying, testing, and implementing code to support various projects, particularly in the realm of Workers' Compensation. The role requires a deep understanding of both Oracle and .NET technologies, as well as experience in web-based systems development. The developer will work closely with the team to ensure the continuous development of the WCB Statutory Project and assist with system re-engineering efforts related to the new CompPay system. This includes streamlining eClaims reporting to ensure timely processing of FROI, SROI, and other critical transactions. In addition to coding responsibilities, the developer will be tasked with developing Oracle stored procedures, packages, views, and triggers necessary for maintaining the Workers' Compensation System. This includes eClaims Reporting, Claims Center, and SIFHearings. The role also involves assisting with the timely resolution of production issues and integrating claims data into a data warehouse/business intelligence system. The consultant will adhere to NYSIF's application development standards, including project management methodology, SDLC, Enterprise Architecture standards, and the IT governance process. Responsibilities

  • Plan, streamline, create, modify, test, and implement code in support of the WCB Statutory Project.

Requirements

  • 84 months experience in Oracle development, PL/SQL development including Triggers, Packages, Procedures, functions, views, Advanced Queuing, SQL Tuning.
  • 84 months experience with Microsoft C#.Net and Object-Oriented Programming.
  • 84 months experience developing web-based systems using Microsoft ASP.NET, MVC.
  • 36 months experience with .NET Core, .NET 6, .NET 8.
  • 60 months experience with JavaScript, JQuery, CSS, and HTML.
  • 84 months experience using Microsoft Team Foundation Server or GIT in a Microsoft Windows environment.
  • 48 months experience with Azure DevOps.
  • 60 months experience with Workers Compensation Claims Processing.
  • 48 months experience with PPM Pro.
