About the position

Total Women's Care is seeking a part-time OB/GYN Nurse Practitioner to join their exclusive practice in Houston Heights. This role focuses on providing exceptional outpatient care, emphasizing a tranquil environment and nutritional aspects during pregnancy. The position may evolve into a full-time opportunity, and candidates are expected to engage positively with patients to enhance their experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform and document assessments of patients during visits according to established criteria and office standards.
• Initiate and individualize care plans for patients following office-specific standards.
• Triage phone calls and follow up with patients regarding test results.
• Maintain compliance with HIPAA and ensure patient confidentiality.
• Attend bimonthly seminars as needed.
• Communicate and interact with patients and their significant others in a compassionate and empathetic manner.

Requirements

• Master's degree in Nursing (MSN) required.
• Board certified in relevant field.
• Current, unencumbered license to practice in Texas.
• 1 year of OB/GYN experience preferred.
• DEA Certification required.
• ACLS and BLS certification required (ACLS must be obtained within 6 months if not currently certified).
• Strong communication skills, both oral and written.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience in a private practice setting.
• FNP (Family Nurse Practitioner) preferred.
